We proudly present a series of originals paintings by Alavro Danti. The artist , since his early years dedicates himself to painting, by attending the studio of the painter Cafiero Filippelli and right from his initial experiences he uses a simplified research in design, yet remaining faithful to the stong color-filled component present in the Livorno tradition. Undoubtedly, in this period he shows an affinity to the representation and brush stroke of Giovanni Bartolena. In 1951, an important exhibition at the Guillaume Gallery in Paris in March. In 1963, he participates to the prestigious Quadriennale held in Rome and at Galleria d'Arte d'Urso ''Otto pittori livornesi a Roma''. During these years, he will intensify his activity in exhibitions, among which remember: Comune di Certaldo 1963; Niagara Falls (Canada), Hotel Niagara 1963; Cagliari, Galleria Maestri del Colore 1970; Pisa, Galleria il Navicello 1970, 1971, 1974; Salsomaggiore, Accademia d'Italia 1983. Numerous retrospective exhibition were held in the last years, among the most important: Livorno, Fortezza Nuova 1987/1988; Livorno, Circolo Ufficiali Accademia Navale 1991; Bagno a Romagna, Palazzo dei Capitani 1992; Bologna, Galleria Sant'Isaia 1995/1999; Roma, CASC Banca d'Italia 1996; Milano, Zammarchi Arte Contemporanea 1997. We also remember the contribution of critical reviews on Danti written by Giuseppe Argentieri, Luigi Bernardi, Lucio Bernardi, Luciano Bonetti, Piero Caprile, Rossella N. Falchini, Gustavo Gasparini, Gino Gentile, Nivalco Provenzale, Andrea Revi, Saverio Strati, Francesca Veroni.
